Fellow Investor:
I'm not going to sugarcoat it. The past few years have been rough for gold investors.

But if there's any truism in the market, it's this: Gold always snaps back—and tends to shine the brightest when people are nervous.

And you don't have to look very hard to what's stressing out the global economy: Oh, and don't forget about Japan and Europe desperately retreating into negative interest rates in an attempt to spark their economies.

We're nearly 40% off gold's record highs in 2011, but do you think today's world economy is in better shape…or in WORSE shape than it was then?

Gold tells the tale: While commodities prices (and the stock market in general) have been in the dumps, gold has outperformed—up more than 6% in the first month of 2016.

Before you start stocking up on coins or gold bars, however, you need to think smart about how to maximize your profits.

That means investing in gold stocks, where the percentage gains can be MUCH, MUCH HIGHER than you get from physical metal.

Consider that "gold mining stocks have only gotten cheaper relative to the price of physical gold," according to Seeking Alpha, based on the ratio of the NYSE ARCA Gold Bugs Index compared to the price of gold bullion. "They are technically the cheapest we've ever seen, relative to the gold price."

Investors Business Daily noted that January's mining stock returns were outstanding, with one index of producers jumping 35% for the month—the most since at least 1995.

If you haven't already started investigating the companies, mining projects, and executives that will lead this next rally, the time is now. Which brings us to our Highlighted Stock…

Aureus Inc. (ARSN:OTC) Goes for the Gold
Chances are, unless you're a gold industry insider, you haven't heard of Aureus, Inc. (ARSN:OTC)—which makes them an outstanding opportunity to get in before the masses.

They're a junior gold exploration firm that's quickly making a name for themselves in two of the prime gold locations in North America: Nevada and Montana.

Their Nevada Gold Creek Property consists of 11 unpatented mineral claims, totaling 132 acres, located in the Island Mountain District in Elko County, Nevada. While grades in the adjacent St. Elmo area are in the range of 10 to 40 grams per tonne, sampling of the altered and shattered limestones in the Gold Creek area revealed gold values up to 6.0 grams per tonne!

In Montana, their newest acquisitions are the Western Star Lode Mining and Keene Placer claims in Meagher County, which has a long storied history of mining wealth dating back to the 1800s—and is one of the reasons Montana was nicknamed "The Treasure State." Historical findings indicated multiple pay zones in both claims, with a favorable gram-to-tonne ratio. The Western Star site measures 13.22 acres in the prolific Confederate Gulch mining area. The 19.67 acre Keene Placer property, which gives positive indications of mineralization and will be part of the information used to complete a NI 43-101 report.

Having a U.S.-based strategy makes a lot of sense, when you consider what's going on elsewhere in the world. Hardly a day goes by when the South African gold mines don't experience a threat of a strike, for example.

Then, you need to consider infrastructure. The U.S. mountain states not only have easy access to skilled mining talent and cutting-edge technology to access and process the gold, they have the benefit of first-world transportation to get it to market.
Gold Loves
Good Neighbors
Nevada is currently the #1 gold-producing state in the U.S. Numerous mining districts, producing thousands of ounces of gold and silver every year, can be found in Elko County. The U.S. Geological Survey describes the northern Nevada rift as "a long, narrow, north-northwest trending alignment of middle Miocene volcanic and hypabyssal rocks and epithermal gold-silver and mercury deposits formed during west-southwest to east-northeast extension."

Meanwhile, Montana is ranked as the 7th largest producer of gold in the United States by the U.S. Geological Survey. The Confederate Gulch Mining District is a steeply incised valley on the west facing slopes of the Big Belt Mountains and site of one of the richest placer strikes per acre ever made—but the tailings have not been reworked and are heavy with gold due to poor recovery methods in the late 1800s.

It's a fact in the gold industry that you can judge an area by the companies already invested—in the same way that you'll always see a Burger King within shouting distance of a McDonald's.

Newmont Mining has a huge presence throughout Nevada, but the key for Aureus is the major's Long Canyon project, a multimillion-ounce, high-grade oxide, open-pit deposit. The area contains a projected 68.5 tonnes of gold, with mineralization of 15 to 45 g/t Au.

You want to know how valuable this flagship asset is to Newmont? They paid a whopping $2.3 BILLION to acquire the former owner, Fronteer Gold, in 2011. They're currently conducting exploration drilling activities at Long Canyon and in the process of formulating a strategy for this significant gold resource.

It is also significant that the Gold Creek Pluton, just 1.5 km west of the subject property, has been successful explored by Gateway Gold in its Coleman Creek property.
ARSN plans to tap into precisely the same geography… and who knows? The next big find could have Newmont knocking on their door!
Gold Industry Sets Up to Outperform…Again
Stocks and crude oil are getting kicked around, forcing investors to seek safe-haven assets. Economic headwinds around the globe are wreaking havoc, and forcing the Federal Reserve to rethink the idea of raising interests rates any further.

The result? Downward pressure on the dollar, and upward support on the price of gold.

Not only that, you have to consider that gold's value is looking increasingly attractive compared to the cost of materials to mine it. That benefits the mining companies that are fast and efficient.

And take note: According to the U.S. Geological Survey's Mineral Commodity Summaries 2016, "Central banks, taking advantage of lower prices, increased their purchase of gold bullion."

In addition to being an aggressive player with top-notch mining technologies at its disposal, ARSN is dedicated to safety and environmental conservation. It's a firm that even the most committed environmentalist can be comfortable with.

On the financial side, they're well funded. Their strategy focuses on disciplined capital allocation, ensuring that all newly acquired investments are aligned with its strategic goals—including industry-leading returns and sustainable growth for shareholders.

ARSN can keep costs down, producing each ounce of gold profitably, because of its focus on placer mines, which don't require a great deal of expensive equipment to be produced.

From a personnel perspective, the team is packed with experts from various fields like law, mining, finance, engineering, geology and metallurgy.

Finally—and this is important—Aureus is different from other junior miners because they're targeting low cost extraction of gold and silver to create cash flow, which can then be reinvested to increase production keeping the company’s debt low and profit high. In fact, while they're in the process of completing a Ni 43-101 study, the company plans to use detailed historical data to start minimal production in some areas in conjunction with the phased exploration program.

Every indication is that gold has bottomed and is primed to resume its rise. For example, Jeff Gundlach, the CEO of DoubleLine Capital, is projecting prices going up 30% to $1400. Why listen to him? He was one of the first to predict the 2014 crash in oil prices as well as problems in junk bonds last year.

And remember: Because of leverage, gold miners can give you much greater percentage returns than investing in bullion.

Not only that, but junior minors are where the fastest profits can be found, whether it's news on positive finds…or the announcement of lucrative buyouts from cash-rich mining majors.

If that type of portfolio action sounds appealing, it's time to stake your claim with ARSN.
Gold is poised for a big move higher.
ARSN is perfectly positioned to ride the rush.
